Your first vault
What a vault is, where it lives, and what the system folders are for.
A vault is a folder on your computer where Marje stores your notes, documents, and rules. You can have one vault, or many. Each is independent.
What's inside a fresh vault
| Folder | Purpose |

| / (root) | Your notes, your stuff. You decide the structure (your starter pack scaffolds the first cut). |
| /~System/ | Marje's brain file, rule registry, routing configs. Don't edit by hand unless you know what you're doing. |
| /_Trash/ | Soft-deleted files. Marje never permanently deletes — you empty trash manually. |
| /Inbox/ | New imports that haven't been classified yet, plus quick-add entries waiting to route. |
Where the vault lives
Default is C:\Users\[you]\Documents\Marje-Vault. You can change it during onboarding to anywhere — including a folder already synced to Google Drive or OneDrive.
Moving the vault later
Settings → Vault → Change Vault Folder. Marje copies (not moves) everything — the old location stays intact until you delete it.

Direction
- Reposition from "third wave artisan" to "neighborhood daily" — broader appeal, lower friction
- Warmer palette: cream + dark roast + a single accent
- Display face: a chunky humanist serif, not the current geometric sans

Brand voice
Warm, knowledgeable, never precious. We talk about coffee like a baker talks about bread — with care, but no mystique.
